We’re delighted to have been chosen as Danes Hill School’s charity to receive funds raised from their annual sponsored walk. Scarlett, who is one of our Small Steps graduates, attends Danes Hill School with her sisters Lauren and Sophia, and together they nominated Small Steps as this year’s charity. On the day of the walk, the children walked around Esher Common and were required to bring gardening gloves so they could complete community work on the common before they headed to Garson’s farm to pick strawberries.
Scarlett’s Mum said “It was very hot and sticky but the children really enjoyed themselves and Lauren and Sophia were really proud to be raising funds for such a worthwhile cause. Meanwhile, while the middle and upper school were busy with the walk, the lower school had their sports day and Scarlett ran (and I do mean ran not walked) her race completely unaided. She also received the year 2 girls trophy for endeavour in sport. You would have been so proud. She has pushed herself so hard this year and it all started with you guys and taking those first tentative steps. Thank you so much, we will always be eternally grateful for all your amazing work and support.”
