We would like to thank all the individuals who make regular donations and we are grateful to the following organisations for supporting us and the work we do:
Small Steps first successful application to Children in Need was in 2004 when they funded a Conductor/Teacher salary for one year. We were again successful in 2008 and are currently in receipt of another grant running over 3 years. We were delighted to be featured on the BBC Children in Need TV programme which you can view below.
Charlotte Grobien, a local resident, first set up Give it Away in 2006, a company building homes for sale in the open market and giving away profits to local and London charities. Charlotte first approached the Small Steps in 2007 and has been very supportive of our charity over the years, making several very substantial donations.
Generations Charitable Trust – has been sponsoring a child to attend Small Steps since 2010
Lloyds Market Charity Awards – Small Steps was fortunate enough to receive £2000 from the awards in 2012.
Broadgate Mainland – Broadgate Mainland, the leading financial and professional services agency, is supporting Small Steps as its nominated charity for twelve months. Broadgate Mainland’s Charity Committee has organised a comprehensive fundraising programme for Small Steps which will be rolled out gradually over the year.
The Mulsanne Partnership – Small Steps has a very close relationship with the Mulsanne Partnership. All the Mulsanne staff have visited Small Steps and taken on various fundraising challenges including “3 peaks in 24 hours” and “9 lakes in 9 hours”, intrepid adventures to raise funds for the Charity. Further to this their personnel have attended various events often in the name of Small Steps. To categorise our Mondays sessions as ‘Mulsanne Mondays’ is in recognition of their valuable support.
Reed Elseiver – Kindly sponsored a child to attend sessions for one term.
The Tommy Hollis Children’s Fund – Small Steps received a donation from the Tommy Hollis Children’s Fund sufficient to sponsor five children to attend regular weekly sessions for a term.
The Ingles Charitable Trust – Our link with this Charitable Trust was initiated through a family who’s child attended Small Steps. Their donation has funded one session a week for one term.
Tanfield Chambers – Small Steps is Tanfield Chambers nominated charity. Tanfield has shown support through buying and distributing branded Christmas puddings, hosting a disability awareness workshop, advancing funds to the charity in lieu of Christmas cards and individual chamber members have also initiated individual fundraising ventures.
The Arab Boy Public House – Since 2008 Small Steps has been the recipient of funds raised at the weekly Thursday night quiz hosted by local pub, The Arab Boy. Occasionally Team Small Steps (aka Little Feat), joins in the fun!
The Richmond Golf Club – During 2011/12 Small Steps was fortunate to be one of the Captain’s nominated charities. Various fundraising events including ‘The Longest Day Challenge’ and other golfing events raised significant funds for us.
Sidley-Austin LLP – Sidley Austin’s involvement with Small Steps began in 2010 through a connection with a family. They are providing valuable pro-bono advice to the Management Committee on a move to incorporation whilst also hosting various fundraising events.
MTT – We have a long standing relationship with MTT through our friend Paul Mott. Activities have included 3 ‘Stepping Out’ Fundraising Balls at the Park Lane Hilton and of course Paul is a member of the incredible ‘Sandblasters’ Team, taking on ultra-marathon adventures around the world to raise funds for Small Steps.
Russell Cooke Solicitors – New friends to Small Steps through a family connection though already a ‘Texas Scramble’ Golf Day is planned for October, aiming to raise the profile of the charity and much needed funds.
