Falconwood Golf Club Charity Day

We are delighted to be the Falconwood Golf Club Captain’s Charity this year and recently Small Steps benefitted from the Club’s Charity Day. The event involved 88 players, made up of Falconwood Golf Club members and guests and raised a massive £2,125 for Small Steps!  This was then increased by a further £1000 by an extremely generous golfer on the day, bringing the total raised to over £3,000!!!

Peter (Dad to Isla, who attends Small Steps), played golf on the day and also represented Small Steps at the event.  We’re very grateful to Peter, Jo and Isla for attending the cheque presentation on 22nd June too! A big thank you to all involved especially Golf Club Captain, Adam Brighouse and Kathryn and David Whitbread who organised the Charity Day. David said “We had a very successful day with everyone enjoying the event and the wonderful weather. We had 100 people participating including both golfers and helpers. We raised £4250 for our Captains’ Charities….  For a small local Golf Club this is a wonderful achievement.”
