Fundraising

We pride ourselves in offering sessions free of charge to all families.  Small Steps does not receive any statutory funding and we are solely dependent on grants, donations and fundraising in order to operate.    We need to raise £400,000 each year to survive.  We do this by applying for Grants, such as Children in Need, through regular donations from our supporters and also from events and sponsored challenges, which our wonderful supporters do for us.  You can help too!  Here's how...

Ways to donate
If you'd like to donate online – you can transfer your donation directly into the Small Steps bank account:

Or if you'd like to set up a regular donation by standing order please email us to request a form.

Alternatively the websites Virgin Money Giving and Just Giving make it easy for anyone to help us with fundraising perhaps through a sponsored event or a direct donation. You can quickly and easily set up your own personalised web pages and invite colleagues, friends & family to donate online with a credit or debit card - no more chasing round with a paper sponsorship form or having the hassle of collecting cash/cheques.  All online donations from UK taxpayers will automatically collect gift aid from the Government, adding 25% to any donation at no cost to the donor....they just have to tick a box to agree!

If you're on Facebook you could set up a birthday fundraiser in aid of Small Steps.  To create a birthday fundraiser, follow the steps on the Facebook Fundraisers page Remember to choose Small Steps to raise money for!

It's simple to raise funds for Small Steps each time you shop online. By shopping via Amazon Smile, 0.5 % of the net price of your order will be donated to Small Steps.  And if online shopping elsewhere, you can register with Easyfundraising and a percentage of everything you spend will automatically come to Small Steps. Please do encourage friends and family to do the same too and help make a difference.  There is no additional cost or charge to you and funds raised like this make a real difference to us.

Fundraising
There are loads of things you could do to help raise funds for us.  Why not do a sponsored challenge? A run, or walk, or swim? Or if sport isn't your thing, have a bake sale or boot sale for for Small Steps?

Some employers may offer a ‘Matched Giving’ scheme or you could nominate us as your ‘Charity of the Year’.  Companies also sometimes have grants available for charities and we would love to be nominated!
